Mozart On a Summer's Eve in Manito Park July 20 & 21



Northwest BachFest will present Summertime Spectacular - Romance, Jazz, Joplin, Broadway and more for its 30th annual Mozart On A Summer's Eve, with two concerts in July on Tuesday, July 20 at 7pm with a repeat performance on Wednesday, July 21 at 7pm on the lawn East of the Duncan Gardens fountain in Manito Park. The concert site is just off Tekoa Street on the East side of Manito Park; Tekoa is parallel to Grand Boulevard.

Music Director Verne Windham will be honored for his thirty years of programming the Mozart concerts by Northwest BachFest Artistic Director Zuill Bailey who is now in charge of the music program. This year's guest artists are Shelly Watson, known for spectacular costuming and dramatic hair and makeup on Broadway, will display her many talents, Matt Herskowitz, Jazz Piano, Richard Dowling, Ragtime and Classical Piano, and Zuill Bailey, Cello.

Mozart On A Summer's Eve concerts will have a completely new production setup this year. Limited numbers of tickets are available to avoid crowding. Spokane Symphony announces 76th Season



The Spokane Symphony with Music Director James Lowe announces its 2021-2022 concert season with seven Masterworks concerts and three Pops concerts at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox. Concerts will be back to normal, with full audience seating in accordance with Spokane Regional Health District guidelines. Due to the pandemic, the Spokane Symphony has not performed as a whole entity since March 7, 2020.

Tickets go on sale on today, July 16 for returning and new subscribers at www.spokanesymphony.org or through the box office at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox, or at 509-624-1200. At this time, the general public may also purchase tickets for other events, including The Nutcracker Ballet, New Year's Eve with Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, Chamber Soirees at Barrister Winery, Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert, and three National Geographic Live events. Symphony season ticketholders have until August 16 to renew their seats. On August 17, single tickets for Masterworks and Pops concerts go on sale to the general public. The first Masterworks concert is September 18 and 19.

The two free Labor Day weekend concerts by the Spokane Symphony are back after being canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic. James Lowe Conducts both concerts. Saturday, September 4 at 6pm - 20th Annual Ludlow Kramer Memorial Concert at Pavillion Park in Liberty Lake. Labor Day, Monday, September 6 at 6pm. This concert is normally held in Comstock Park on Spokane's South Hill, this year's free Labor Day concert will be in Riverfront Park's U.S. Pavilion at the end of the Pig Out in the Park weekend.

Spokane Shock play at the Arena this Saturday



Spokane Shock football has returned and this Saturday, July 17, it's the Shock vs Tucson Sugar Skulls. Game time is 6:05pm.

Inland NW Opera performs The Maid Turned Mistress July 18 & 19



Enjoy a sunset cruise for an evening of comedy about an old man, Uberto, and his brazen maid, Serpina. When Serpina demands that he stay home and obey her orders, Uberto is determined to get rid of her by finding and marrying a woman of the household. Through a series of hilarious events, Uberto realizes the woman of his dreams is closer than he realizes.

Performances are Sunday, July 18 and Monday, July 19 at 7pm both nights. Boarding at the Coeur d'Alene Resort at 6:30pm.
