NW BachFest Spring Series Finale starts Friday



NW BachFest will conclude their 'Across the Miles' Spring Series, Chopin Re-imagined & All Jazzed Up, with a special performance by virtuosic pianist Matt Herskowitz, on Friday, April 23 through Monday, April 26. Matt will come directly to viewers online from Montreal with his new Chopin program. Included with the performance will be a videotaped pre-concert talk with Artistic Director Zuill Bailey.

A new 'Across The Miles' Online series for 2021/22 will be announced soon to begin in September. Across The Miles Tickets are $20 per household. Information and links to Tickets at www.NWBachFest.com.


Spark Central Telethon this Friday



Tune in for the fun at Spark Salon the Telethon, this Friday, April 23 from 7-9:30pm with an evening of entertainment and giving featuring international bestselling author and Spark Central co-founder Jess Walter and special guest Ginger Ewing, Terrain's co-founder. Kiantha Duncan and Pat Simmons will be your guides through an evening celebrating local food, art, film, and music with celebrity appearances by Richard Russo, Julia Sweeney, Mischa Jakupcak and more. All proceeds will keep Spark Central's youth programs and membership available at no cost so income is never a barrier to opportunity. Get a glimpse into how Spark Central is navigating the pandemic with West Central youth and how they're continuing to break barriers to creativity so that all people can forge the path to their best future.

Custer's Virtual Spring Show going on now



This year, Custer's Spring Arts & Crafts Show is virtual, and participants represent artists and crafters that were accepted into one or more of the Custer 2020 planned shows. You can find many different items, from ceramics, painted fabric, jewelry, leather good, metal work, photography, woodworking and more. The show ends Saturday, May 1.

Dude Perfect coming to the Spokane Arena November 2021



Dude Perfect is back with an all-new tour for 2021. Produced by Premier Productions, the 28-city, North American tour will kick off this fall, and comes to the Spokane Arena on Thursday, November 4, 2021. Dude Perfect is an American sports and comedy group consisting of Garrett Hilbert, Cody Jones, Tyler 'TT' Toney, and twins Cory and Coby Cotton, all of whom are former college roommates at Texas A&M University. They rose to fame when they uploaded videos of them performing impossible trick shots on YouTube.

2021 Garden Fair & Plant Sale starts this Saturday

Start your gardening season with plants from the annual Garden Fair & Plant Sale sponsored by the Master Gardeners of Spokane County. As in past years, tomatoes, peppers and herbs along with native plants, ornamental grasses, a wide selection of dahlias, and more will be available for purchase. The online plant sales start this Saturday, April 24 and runs through Saturday, May 8.

This year's sale is by appointment only and pick up location is at Vicki's Garden Center Greenhouse, 2100 S Inland Empire Way in Spokane.

Comedian Aries Spears performs at Spokane Comedy Club starting tonight



Star TV comedian Aries Spears brings his humor to the Spokane Comedy Club starting tonight, Thursday, April 22 through Sunday, April 25. Spears came to fame on the hit show MAD TV, and followed with multiple, critically praised Showtime specials.

Megan Perkins exhibit at Spokane Art School through April 30

Megan Perkins is an artist, teacher, and native of the Pacific Northwest. She works primarily in watercolor with a love of color and expressive line. She has exhibited in many venues in the Spokane region, is a member at Pottery Place Plus, and teaches at the Spokane Art School and Corbin Art Center. Her exhibit, Seasons in Spokane at the Spokane Art School is going on now through Friday, April 30.
