Virtual Chocolate & Champagne Gala benefitting LCSNW this Friday



Chocolate, champagne, dinner, live music, and auction make for a fun evening that supports a serious cause. This year's Chocolate & Champagne Gala is virtual, on Friday, April 16 from 6-7:30pm. The Gala's proceeds benefit Lutheran Community Services Northwest.

Spokane Symphony on demand Spring Concert Series continues



The Spokane Symphony @ Home spring concerts are 90-minute episodes of music and more. Each of the five concerts has a theme that Music Director James Lowe will explore through music and other disciplines. Episodes will include short video segments of James Lowe chatting with orchestra musicians about their backgrounds and thoughts about classical music, plus conversations with some of the most engaging experts in the Inland Northwest on a variety of topics related to the themes.

This Friday, April 16, the concert is 'Classical Perfection.' Concerts are released every two weeks, through Wednesday, June 30, 2021. Tickets and more information is available at secure.foxtheaterspokane.org/packages.


Arbor Crest Summer Concerts are coming back!



Arbor Crest's 2021 Concert Series offers well-known as well as up and coming entertainment acts on Thursday and Sunday evenings throughout the spring and summer seasons. Enjoy live music outside on the beautiful grounds of Arbor Crest. Reserved VIP seating available. The first concert of the season is Sunday, May 2, featuring Side Step and Thursday, May 6, Daniel Hall performs. Music runs from 5:30-7:30pm (4:30-6:30pm in September).

Mac & Cheese Festival in CdA starts tomorrow



The 4th Annual Mac & Cheese Festival is this Friday & Saturday, April 16-17 from 4-6:30pm, and celebrates your favorite childhood dish by featuring variations prepared by local Coeur d'Alene Chefs who will be competing for the Golden Noodle Award. Attendees will enjoy mac & cheese tastings with perfect craft beer pairings and get to vote for their favorite dish. Event requires walking short distances outdoors from venue to venue.

The Get Lit! Virtual Festival continues through this Sunday

The Get Lit! Literary Arts Festival is a weeklong celebration of reading and writing and offers events for literature lovers of all ages, including: readings and lectures, interviews, workshops, panel discussions, poetry slams for children, teens, and college students, writing contests, book signings, literary happy hours, and more.

Photo Walk in Garland with Roger DuBois this Saturday



Join the Spokane Art School photography instructor Roger DuBois on a photo learning walk around the Garland District. In this photo walk, this Saturday, April 17 from 12-4pm, you'll experiment with many of your camera's settings to obtain the style of photos you wish to make. Discussions include white balance, ISO, exposure compensation, lens selection, composition, fill flash portraits and whatever else you might want to learn. This class will be limited to 5 participants. Bring your camera, battery fully charged, memory card, and lenses.
