Upcoming BachFest 2021 Online Concerts



The 44th Annual Northwest Bach Festival, with Zuill Bailey Artistic Director, presents BachFest online performances featuring selections from J. S. Bach's Suites for Unaccompanied Cello. The performances were filmed at historic Hamilton Studio and West Central Abbey on W. Dean Ave. in Spokane in October 2020 with triple Grammy winning Cellist Zuill Bailey.

The first Festival concert will be presented Friday, February 26 at 10am and continue through Sunday, February 28 at 10pm. Zuill Bailey, cello, performs Johann Sebastian Bach's Suite No. 1 in G Major for Unaccompanied Cello, BWV 1007 and some of his favorite movements from other Bach Suites.

Festival concerts continue Friday, March 5 at 10am and continue through Sunday, March 7 at 10pm. Zuill Bailey performs Johann Sebastian Bach's Suite No. 2 in D minor for Unaccompanied Cello, BWV 1008 and other selections.

Lovestream at the Baby Bar tonight!



Tonight, February 19 at 8pm, the Palimpsest Group and Baby Bar presents 'Lovestream', a livestream cover show, which will also feature love-themed poetry and comedy. Danny Boi is Host, and performers include Atari Ferrari (David Bowie), Balonely (The Bee Gee's), Twin Towers, Cathedral Pearls (Wilco), TK-421 (Dillinger Four), Jeff Peterson (Chet Baker), Chris Cook (poetry), and Devin Devine (poetry). Proceeds go to Planned Parenthood.

Historic Flight Museum re-opens



Historic Flight Foundation has re-opened to the public. The museum offers a collection of the most important aircraft produced between 1927 and 1957, all restored and airborne again. You can experience the roar of piston engines, watch engineers restore vintage aircraft to flying condition, and view aeronautical displays from every angle.

Beginning Friday & Saturday, March 19 & 20, the very popular aviation history lecture series will resume with the presentation 'Aircraft Builders - Cessna.' This will be followed in April with Beechcraft, then Piper, detailing the history of the Big Three in general aviation manufacturing. On Saturday, March 27, Historic Flight will partner with the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture for their Bomber Boys exhibit. Patrons are encouraged to visit both museums to learn about WWII history and the B-25 bomber.

The Cronkites perform at Barrister Winery tonight



Live music returns to Barrister Winery at 1213 West Railroad Avenue, and tonight The Cronkites perform from 7-9pm. Seating opens at 5pm, and the winery will be open until 10pm. Table reservations required, call 509-465-3591.
