Christmas has come to downtown Spokane!

Thanks to Visit Spokane, the Downtown Spokane Business Improvement District, STCU, Klündt Hosmer and local artists, the nostalgic 50 to 70-year-old animatronic displays from the fondly remembered Crescent Department Store Christmas windows have been resurrected. Artists Stephanie Bogue, Melanie Lieb, Derrick Freeland, Jazmin Ely, and Tiffany Patterson worked three weeks of evenings and weekends to paint and install the displays, which were unveiled November 28.

Five windows have been created to instill the Christmas spirit in young and old alike. The windows are lit and animated from 3-8pm Mondays through Thursdays, noon-10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and noon-8pm on Sundays through Sunday, January 3. Make it a point to take a holiday walk along the south side of the Davenport Grand Hotel to experience Christmas in the City as it used to be, with an inspired twist from some very talented artists.
