NW Bach Fest Across the Miles premiers October 23



The Intimate World of Cole Porter with Rob Kapilow from What Makes It Great? illuminates the joy of the timeless music of Cole Porter, one of America's great composers. This concert will be available to watch virtually from Friday, October 23 through Monday, October 26.

This concert is the first in a series of six of the BachFest Online 'Across The Miles' performances (going on through April 2021), and will leave you with new appreciation and lasting insights into world-famous music. Plus a lucky winner from the series ticket buyers can enjoy a Zoom or telephone chat with Artistic Director Zuill Bailey who will have stories just for the occasion.

Last Days of Pompeii at the MAC - Webinar October 28



Join in on the fun with a special virtual benefit event - Last days of Pompeii: The Immortal City at the MAC, Wednesday, October 28 at 6:30pm. This will be a compelling virtual experience filmed during the closing days of the exhibit. You can experience a virtual trip through the galleries with intriguing insights from experts, and go deeper into select artifacts and the lives of ancient Pompeiians. This event is appropriate for all ages and will have something to offer everyone, whether you were able to visit the exhibition in person or not.

Cost for registration is $20 for access to the live event for your entire household; or $50 for event access, plus a bottle of Italian wine from Vino and a loaf of Pompeii bread from the Grain Shed.

Dream Roles & Miscasts performances at the Kroc Center in CdA



Dream Roles & Miscasts is an original evening of song and dance where performers get a chance to sing or dance a part they've always wanted to play, no matter the gender or age. A Chorus Line, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserable are just a few of the shows being represented in Dream Roles & Miscasts! This show is an opportunity to enjoy performances from some popular Broadway shows, performed by some of the areas best.

Performances are at the Kroc Center today, October 22 and Sunday, October 25 at 7:30pm and will be presented via Zoom.

Providence Playscape at Riverfront Park virtual ribbon cutting tomorrow



You are invited to join our virtual ribbon cutting ceremony of Providence Playscape at Riverfront Park. This virtual celebration will mark the grand opening of the City of Spokane's first all-inclusive playground, made possible through a generous community benefit grant from Providence Health Care. The ribbon cutting will take place this Friday, October 23 at 11:30am, via live stream.

You'll also get a first look at the playground's inclusive play elements, including a 'we-go-round' suitable for wheelchairs; a sensory wall helping children improve their visual, auditory, and tactile processing; a roller table allowing children to pull themselves through a tunnel over rolling bars; swings made for all bodies and abilities; and more. Providence Playscape includes more than 20 unique, inclusive play elements come together, designed to be physically and socially inclusive. The playscape allows visitors with special needs to interact and play more independently and equally with their siblings, buddies, caregivers and family members. It will help meet child development milestones and offer activities that support physical, cognitive, social, and sensory needs.
