Virtual Bloomsday will now be run September 18-27

Bloomsday officials have announced that Virtual Bloomsday participants may complete their race Friday, September 18 through Sunday, September 27. It was scheduled for September 18, 19 and 20. Hazardous air conditions from area wildfires have made it dangerous to exercise outdoors both in the Spokane region and throughout the Pacific Northwest. Those conditions could continue through the weekend. To allow Virtual Bloomsday participants to complete their 7.46-mile course in safe air conditions, Bloomsday race officials extended the participation time frame to Sunday, September 27.

Virtual Bloomsday is an event that allows 2020 Bloomsday entrants to earn their coveted race finisher shirt. Participants run or walk any 7.46-mile course of their choosing and then report their finish time on the Bloomsday website. Bloomsday will then mail the finisher shirt. Almost 25,000 people have signed up for Virtual Bloomsday.
