There's still time to enjoy great food and ice cream at the Park Bench Cafe in Manito Park. At time time, they plan to be open through Sunday, September 20, but will revisit that in the next week and possibly extend their hours of operation to later in the month. Currently, hours are 9am-7pm daily.
Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shop in River Park Square was awarded the contract to operate the Park Bench for this summer and it's been a winner!
The Park Bench offers a great line up of sandwiches and salads - all new this year, and delicious! Along with espresso and coffee drinks, doggie treats, and of course, Ben & Jerry's famous ice cream in so many different flavors!
 Final week: Pompeii Exhibit ends this Sunday at the MAC
If you haven't had a chance to view Pompeii: The Immortal City, the exhibit will continue to be on display at the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture throught this Sunday, September 13.
Pompeii: The Immortal City features over 100 authentic items excavated from the ruins of Pompeii, buried by a catastrophic volcanic eruption in 79 A.D. While it violently ended the lives of the inhabitants, it also preserved Pompeii's living environment making it possible for us to explore what life was like nearly 2,000 years ago.

 Fresh Perspective Exhibit opens at Art Spirit Gallery in CdA
The Art Spirit Gallery presents their September exhibit 'Fresh Perspective,' showcasing artists Stephanie Frostad, Julia Galloway, Deb Schwartzkopf, and Laura Nuchols. Each of these artists have embraced the process of creation. Exhibiting a deep understanding that deliberate meaning making is as important to this process as the craftsmanship itself.

 World's Largest Fair Food Drive Thru at the Fairgrounds starts this weekend
If you're hungry for your favorite Fair Food, then join the Spokane County Fair for it's first-ever 'World's Largest Fair Food Drive Thru' at the Fairgrounds, 404 N Havana. You'll find your favorites, from kettle corn and ice cream to funnel cakes and Longhorn BBQ, corn dogs and much more.
The fun lasts for two weekends, this Friday through Sunday, September 11-13, and next Friday through Sunday, September 18-20. Admission is free. Hours are 11am-7pm on Friday & Saturday, and 11am-5pm on Sunday.

 Special Gospel concert this Saturday at Spring Hill Grange Hall
An outdoor Gospel concert featuring The Mountain Dew Boys will be at Spring Hill Grange Hall this Saturday, September 12, at 6:30pm. The Hall is located at 8717 N Brooks Road in Spokane.
Suggested donation is $7 per person, children under 12 years of age, $3.
