MAC and Pompeii: The Immortal City now open, extended to September 13

The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture reopened yesterday, and has extended 'Pompeii: The Immortal City' exhibit through Sunday, September 13. This exhibit features over 100 authentic items excavated from the ruins of Pompeii, buried by a catastrophic volcanic eruption in 79 A.D. While it violently ended the lives of the inhabitants, it also preserved Pompeii's living environment making it possible for us to explore what life was like nearly 2,000 years ago.

The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10am-5pm. Timed tickets can be purchased only online. Special hours for seniors and those with underlying health conditions are 10am-2pm on Tuesdays. To purchase tickets online (required) visit www.northwestmuseum.org.
