Connoisseur Concerts presents a virtual Summer Jazz Academy

BachFest has a long association with jazz legend Wynton Marsalis, director of Jazz at Lincoln Center. Marsalis is a former student of former Northwest Bach Artistic Director Gunther Schuller. Marsalis is a friend and colleague of Artistic Director Zuill Bailey. Bailey is extending a special offer, free of charge, for the Jazz at Lincoln Center's first-ever virtual Summer Jazz Academy.

Open to jazz fans and musicians of all skill levels, ages 12 and on up, participants can enjoy a unique learning experience as world-class musicians, including, Marsalis, share their insights throughout a two-week program. Some sessions are live and interactive and some are pre-recorded. Programs are available starting Monday, July 20 and running through Saturday, August 1

Jazz pianist Matt Herskowitz, (pictured above) is teaming with Artistic Director Zuill Bailey for a virtual concert in July. Matt from Montreal and Zuill from El Paso--two different countries and with the border still closed for traveling, music comes to you.
