The Spokane Symphony celebrates Beethoven's 250th birthday!



This weekend, the Spokane Symphony will celebrate the 250th birth year of Beethoven for this Masterworks concert. Beethoven's Seventh Symphony marked a turning point in his career, establishing him as one of the great masters of his day. Known for its rhythmic devices and celebratory emotion, Beethoven called it his "most excellent symphony." Grammy Award-winning violinist, Augustin Hadelich (pictured above), performs Beethoven's lyrical Violin Concerto, and the concert also includes Beethoven's Egmont Overture.

Performances are this Saturday, January 18, 8pm and Sunday, January 19, 3pm at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox. There will be a pre-concert talk one hour before each concert. Tickets prices start at $21. Tickets for children K-12 are free! Visit www.spokanesymphony.org, or call 509-624-1200.


'All My Sons' this Sunday at the Bing



As part of the Bing's Stage to Screen Film Series, this Sunday, January 19 at 2pm, All My Sons, broadcast live from The Old Vic in London. Academy Award-winner Sally Field and Bill Pullman star in Arthur Miller's powerful drama.

Pixar in Concert with the Spokane Symphony



The Spokane Symphony presents Pixar in Concert at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox, Saturday January 25 and Sunday, January 26. It's a multi-media family show featuring clips from 14 of Pixar's films, all accompanied live by the Spokane Symphony Orchestra, so it's a movie-and-concert in one!

Wynonna Judd coming to the Bing January 23



Wynonna Judd and her band The Big Noise, led by her husband/drummer/producer, Cactus Moser, come to the Bing Crosby Theater Thursday, January 23 at 8pm. As one-half of the legendary mother/daughter duo 'The Judds,' Wynonna was once dubbed by Rolling Stone as "the greatest female country singer since Patsy Cline." This iconic performer has received over 60 industry awards, with countless charting singles, including 20 No.1 hits such as 'Mama He's Crazy,' 'Why Not me,' and 'Grandpa, (Tell Me 'Bout The Good Ole Days).'

Arbor Crest's Fireside Music concerts continue and this Friday, January 17, with Mark Holt performing Americana/Blues. On Saturday, January 18, The Ronaldo's will play their blend of Eclectic Acoustic Rock. Concerts are in the tasting room and run from 5:30-7:30 both nights.
