The M Show coming to the Cracker Building May 23-24



The M Show, hosted by Spokane Symphony concertmaster, Mateusz Wolski is coming to the Cracker Building, Thursday and Friday, May 23-24 at 8pm. Special guest is The Hillyard hammer, boxer Chauncey Welliver. This edition focuses on all things percussion, with instruments that crash, bang, beat, strike and knock.

Spring Folly Exhibit at the Art Spirit Gallery in CdA

The Art Spirit Gallery at 415 Sherman in downtown Coeur d'Alene presents Spring Folly, a show by four artists, Jeff Weir (artwork above), Shelle Lindholm, Kathy Gale and Kelsey Bowen. The show runs now through Saturday, June 8. The gallery is open from 11-6, seven days a week.

NW Bach Festival begins May 25



The Annual Northwest BachFest presented by Connoisseur Concerts, features their second BachFest week of the year, with performances on Saturday, May 25 through Tuesday, May 28 in selected venues.

Hennessey Funeral Home Memorial Day Celebration

Hennessey Funeral Home at 2203 North Division is having a Memorial Day event, Sunday, May 26 and Monday, May 27, 9am to 5pm each day, honoring and celebrating our Veterans and our loved ones. The celebration is in the spirit of the King of Rock 'n' Roll starring Ben 'Presley' Klein and the Zonky Jazz Band performing some of the Elvis' greatest hits. 3 shows, Sunday at 1pm, and Monday at 1 and 3pm.

Plus, more entertainment from the Brass Works Band, TnT, and a Steel Drum performance by Taylor Belote. There will be Veterans Memorabilia, a Working Railroad, Joe Bruce's NASA Space Display as well as The Hassie Club classic and antique car show. There's no cost, and there will be plenty of coffee, cookies, popcorn, plus hot-dogs mid-day.

William Shatner at First Interstate Center this Friday

Captain Kirk, also known as William Shatner, will be live at the First Interstate Center this Friday, May 17, 7:30pm for a showing of The Wrath of Khan. After the movie he will take the stage for a presentation and answer questions from the audience.

Inland Northwest Opera presents The Toy Shop beginning May 19



Inland Northwest Opera presents 'The Toy Shop,' a charming fable about a toymaker, two of his doll creations Paul and Pauline, and a magician who wants to steal them. The mechanical dolls wish they were real and discover that 'love is the key' that brings them to life.

This week's concerts as part of Arbor Crest's Summer Concert Series: Thursday, May 16 at the Tasting Room Stage, Mark Holt performs blues-jazz-Americana-country. Dozer Day this Saturday at Cabela's



Dozer Day is an annual, community event hosted by the excavation industry to give kids an opportunity to operate heavy construction equipment and enjoy many other excavation-related activities. Kids stand in awe as they hop into the cab of excavators, dozers and backhoes and drive! This Saturday, May 18 from 11am-4pm at Cabela's in Post Falls, ID. Hosted by Dozer Day, Eastern WA, North ID.

KPBX Free Kids' Concert Musicfest NW Live Broadcast May 15-17

Many talented local music students will be participating in Spokane Public Radio's 2019 Musicfest Northwest Festival. Performers selected by festival adjudicators will perform live in the SPR Performance Studio Wednesday, May 15 through Friday, May 17 from 10am-noon. You can stop by the station or listen live at KPBX 91.1 FM during Morning Classical with Verne Windham. The station is located at 1229 N Monroe Street. No charge for admission to the station.

Musicfest Northwest is a regional weeklong adjudicated festival of performances by young musicians, artists, and dancers on the campus of Gonzaga University. Over 1500 young performers are part of Musicfest Northwest every year and it is considered to be the largest festival of its kind in the United States.

In addition to the SPR broadcasts, winners of the festival's Brass, Flute, Guitar, Piano, Reed, String and Voice Divisions will perform with the Spokane Symphony today, Wednesday, May 15, 7:30pm at The Martin Woldson Theatre at the Fox. Instrumental, vocal, and dance performers selected by adjudicators will also perform at the Festival Highlights concert on Friday, May 17 at 7:30pm.
