Special Glassblowing demonstrations at the MAC April 4-6



See glassblowing up close and personal at the Mobile Hot Shop, this Thursday through Saturday, April 4, 5 and 6 from 10am-5pm. In conjunction with Luminous: Dale Chihuly and the Studio Glass Movement, the MAC is bringing in a fully-equipped glassblowing studio on wheels, so you can experience the magical transformation of molten glass into works of art. You'll see live glassmaking demonstrations by two talented glass artists. Demonstrations are free with regular admission, and an additional fee applies for the 'hands-on' experience.

Finally! The Art Spirit comes to Spokane!



This Friday, April 5 from 5-9pm, Coeur d'Alene's Art Spirit Gallery opens AS2, a pop up gallery in Spokane's Wonder Building, showcasing work from well-known local and Seattle artists. The Wonder Building is located at 835 N Post.


Free Cone Day is coming April 9 at Ben & Jerry's to benefit local charities



Ben & Jerry's of Spokane & Airway Heights scoops out fun and free flavors on Tuesday, April 9. Fans are invited to Ben & Jerry's at Riverpark Square and Northern Quest, from 12pm-8pm to join the fun. At the downtown Riverpark Square location, donations will allow Mobius Children's Museum and Science Center to provide hands-on educational STEM based outreach experiences to the Boys & Girls Clubs in our community. Donations accepted at the Northern Quest location will go to Operation Spokane Heroes whose mission is to provide support for local area military personnel and their families.

Spokane Symphony's 74th Season Announced



The Spokane Symphony announces its 2019-2020 concert season with exciting changes: a new Music Director will be announced in June; 'Classics' are now called 'Masterworks'; children aged 17 and under may get a free ticket for any Masterworks concert; movies return to The Fox with three 'Movies and Music' events, including Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, PIXAR in Concert, and STAR WARS: A New Hope.

The Spokane Symphony adds specials throughout the year that are not included in packages. Current and new subscribers get the first chance to buy seats for these events. Specials during the 74th season include Ancient Tales of Magic: Music of Harry Potter and other Halloween Favorites; Holiday Pops with Vanessa Williams; The Nutcracker Ballet; New Year's Eve with Beethoven's Ninth; Opening Night Gala; and Coffee & Classics.

The new season of the Spokane Symphony starts with Masterworks 1: American Rhythms, on September 14, 2019.

Annual Spokane Home & Garden Show coming April 19-21



The Spokane Home Builders Association presents the 43rd Annual Spring Spokane Home & Garden Show to be held, Friday, April 19 through Sunday, April 21 at the Spokane Convention Center. The Spokane Home & Garden Show is focused on building, renovation, landscaping, design and decor. New and returning exciting highlights have been added for the 2019 show.

Keynote speaker is Taniya Nayak, popular HGTV host. Nayak will be meeting the public on Friday at 3:30 as well as Saturday at 1p & 3p and presenting her seminar titled, 'Inspired Design'. This year's show also features 'Barrels & Brews' on Friday evening from 5-8p. The show also features great prizes, including an Enter to Win Grand Prize: Dynamic Decks is providing the winner with a brand new deck; with patio furniture courtesy of Jacobs Custom Living. Total package is valued over $15,000.

The Fab Four: The Ultimate Tribute this Friday at the Fox

The Emmy Award Winning Fab Four, the Ultimate Tribute Band is coming to the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox this Friday, April 5, at 8pm. With their precise attention to detail, and uncanny, note-for-note live renditions of Beatles' classics, you will think you are watching the real thing.

Jim Gaffigan coming to the Arena April 28



Funny man Jim Gaffigan, a three-time Grammy nominated comedian, actor, writer, producer, best-selling author, Emmy winning top touring performer, and multi-platinum-selling recording artist will bring his Quality Time Tour to the Spokane Arena on Sunday, April 28. He is known around the world for his unique brand of humor, which largely revolves around his observations on life.

Acclaimed cellist Istvan Vardai performs with the Spokane Symphony April 13 & 14



The Spokane Symphony is proud to welcome internationally acclaimed cellist Istvan Vardai (pictured above), for Classics 9, Russian Virtuosity. The dazzlingly virtuosic Vardai will perform Prokofiev's stunning Symphony Concerto. Plus, Music Director Finalist Jayce Ogren conducts Mussorgsky's iconic 'Pictures at an Exhibition.' You'll have an opportunity to meet Maestro Ogren for a Q&A one hour and 15 minutes before each performance, followed by a pre-concert talk, free to ticketholders.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time at the Civic



Everybody's talking about The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, now on stage at Spokane Civic theatre through Sunday, April 14. Spokane Chiefs in second round of playoff series



The Spokane Chiefs have announced the game schedule for their second round playoff series versus the Everett Silvertips. The Chiefs will travel to Everett to begin the series on Saturday, April 6 before returning to Spokane Arena to host Game 3, Game 4 and Game 5 (if necessary) on April 10, 12 & 13.
