Sammy Eubanks and The Work'in Class is World Class

Last Saturday in Memphis, Sammy Eubanks and The Work'in Class band won second place in the 35th International Blues Challenge, out of more than 260 blues acts from around the world. That's second in the world!

The International Blues Challenge is a 'worldwide search for those blues bands and solo/duo blues acts ready to perform on the international stage, yet just needing that extra big break.' Sammy made it to the semi-finals of the IBC in 2013 with a trio and in 2017, his album 'Sugar Me' was a finalist for the best self-produced CD award. The road to Memphis for this year's International Blues Challenge started with local and regional competitions in Spokane and Snohomish.

The Work'in Class Band includes (left to right) Steve Lime, Keyboards/Piano; Michael Lenke, Trumpet; Charles Swanson, Sax, Sammy; Scotty Harris, Bass; and Ken Danielson, Drums.
