It's ElkFest weekend in Browne's Addition



The Elk, at 1931 W Pacific Avenue is taking over the intersection of Pacific and Cannon in historic Browne's Addition this weekend for ElkFest 2016. The beer garden opens at 3pm on Friday, June 10 and continues through Sunday, June 12.
Music kicks off at 4pm Friday The Rub, 5pm it's Duke Evers. At 6:30pm, the Rusty Cleavers play, and 8:30 it's Leed Bains III and Glory Fires.

Saturday the beer garden opens at noon and The Rub plays at 1. At 2pm it;s Quarter Monkey, 4pm, Friends of Mine, at 5:30pm The Holy Broke takes the stage. THE Folk Inception is at 7pm and at 8:30pm it's Down North.

Sunday the beer garden opens at noon. The Rub plays at 2pm. At 3:30pm it's Breadbox, 5:30pm Anthony Hall, Jus Wright at 7 and The Expanders at 8:30.

New show at Art Spirit has 40 Harold Balazs works



The Art Spirit Gallery at 415 Sherman in downtown Coeur d'Alene presents Victoria Brace and Robert Grimes as well as a special showing of 40 works by Harold Balazs. There's an artists reception Friday, June 10 from 5 to 8 and the show runs through July 2.

Rockin' B Ranch Opens June 17



The Rockin' B Ranch will open for another great season of Cowboy Supper Shows on Friday, June 17. This will be their 22nd Season! The Riders of the Rockin' B are settling in for the summer and will be offering a supper show on selected weekends through October.

The Rockin' B Ranch was established by Scott and Pamela Brownlee in 1994 to offer the finest cowboy supper show in the Pacific Northwest. The experience includes a hilarious outdoor melodrama, a great BBQ supper, and a nostalgic hour of cowboy trail music performed by the Riders of the Rockin' B. Beer and wine are on offer at the house cantina.

Performances will be monthly on Fridays and Saturdays, June through October: June 17 & 18, July 29 & 30, August 26 & 27, September 23 & 24 and October 14 & 15. The on-site ticket office will open for each show at 5:30pm; live pre-show music in the barn from 5:30pm to 6:15pm (cantina open for refreshments); and the fun and dinner continue through the evening.

Spokane Valley Art Tour

Art, culture, and creativity. All three come together as the Spokane Valley's Second Saturday art tour becomes a reality at four locations on Saturday, June 11 from 5 to 9pm.

The locations are Spokane Valley Library, 12004 E Main; Hatch Gallery, 9612 E Sprague; Mellow Monkey Yoga, 9017 E Euclid Ave, Millwood; and Magicraftsman Studio, 18209 E Appleway Avenue.

This Saturday and Sunday, June 11 & 12 at 2 each day Spokane Children's Theater, at 2727 North Madelia Street presents their last two performances of Mary Poppins.

This week's music at Arbor Crest

The Estate at Arbor Crest is the place to be for great music this week. Today, June 9, Lyle Morse plays soulful, acoustic blues from 5:30-7:30pm. The evening also features artist Karla Lautenbach displaying her mosaic pictures. No cover charge.

On Friday, June 10, enjoy the music of Spare Parts Due from 5:30-7:30, no cover charge.

And on Sunday, June 12, the Ryan Larsen Band performs popular country music. Concert begins at 5:30 and continues until sunset. There is an $8 admission for Sunday concerts.

Spokane-Limerick Sister City Society Literary Pub Crawl June 16

The 6th Annual Limerick Literary Pub Crawl and Ploughman's Dinner will be held on Thursday, June 16 from 5:15 to 9:30 pm. Cost is $50 per person, which includes entertainment, collector t-shirts, dinner and door prizes at each pub. Libations at each pub are in addition, at reduced prices.

The Tour begins at 5:15 at O'Doherty's Irish Grill and ends at Herbal Essence Cafe, with stops in between at Post Street Ale House, The Davenport Hotel Lobby, the Satellite Pub and Lucky's Pub. Enjoy a fun evening of readings, live music, snacks, prizes and more. People attending are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and bring cash for easy payments of drinks at every stop.
