Byron Buchanan and Best of the Basement at The Art Spirit Gallery



The Art Spirit Gallery at 415 Sherman in downtown Coeur d'Alene presents leading pop artist Byron Buchanan and Best of the Basement this month. The Opening Reception is this Friday, March 11 from 5-8pm.

In the local art community, Byron Buchanan is the new kid in town. This leading pop artist is not fresh to the art scene, however. His work shows in the collections of Brad Pitt, Vin Diesel, Drew Barrymore, Dr. Dre, Lindsay Lohan, Donna Summers, Larry Hagman, Yves Saint Laurent in Paris, and Macy's New York.

Find 'Treasure' at the Museum



The 'Treasure!' exhibit at the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture features more than 1,000 treasures, from sunken ships to the museum's own collections, to treasures of local residents. A new Antique Store has opened in the Treasure! exhibit, where you can see many items from the museum's collection that have never been on display before.

Patti Austin sings Ella Fitzgerald this Saturday at the Fox



The Spokane Symphony SuperPops Series continues, and this Saturday, March 12 at 8pm, hear Grammy-Award winner Patti Austin perform beautiful renditions of Ella Fitzgerald's favorite songs, including 'Too Close for Comfort,' 'Honeysuckle Rose,' 'Satin Doll,' 'Miss Otis Regrets,' and many more. Jorge Luis Uzcategui conducts.

Inland NW Motorcycle Show this weekend at the Fairgrounds



The 13th Annual Inland Northwest Motorcycle Show & Sale is this Friday through Sunday, March 11-13 at the Spokane Fair & Expo Center. Spokane Jazz Orchestra with jazz vocalist Horace Alexander Young



This Friday night, March 11 at 7:30 the Spokane Jazz Orchestra plays the Bing Crosby Theater with jazz vocalist Horace Alexander Young.

There are few areas in music which saxophonist, flutist, keyboard player, percussionist, vocalist, composer, arranger, conductor, producer and college professor Horace Alexander Young hasn't met with great success. This work has led him to performances in 19 different countries and across five of the planet's seven continents. Known for his extreme musical competence, Young's skills have been born out in the wide range of artists with whom he has worked in recording and touring capacities.

Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade this Saturday

Don't miss the 38th Annual St. Patrick's Day parade in downtown Spokane starting at noon this Saturday, March 12. The parade is presented by the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick and they are partnering up again this year with Second Harvest Food Bank in helping to support not only the parade but to help raise donations and awareness to Second Harvest. Food donations will be accepted.
