Spokane Symphony's Soiree on the Edge at Arbor Crest starts tonight

Enjoy the sounds of the fabulous Spokane Symphony with musical director Eckart Preu, for their Soiree on the Edge special concert tonight, August 12 at 7pm. The concert will be at the Vineyard Tent at the beautiful Cliff House Estate. Selections include Mendelssohn's Italian Symphony, Anna Clyne's A Wonderful Day, and Ciupinski's Flashbacks. Arbor Crest wines are available for purchase, as well as food prepared by Beacon Hill Catering. So pack your picnic blanket or lawn chairs, and enjoy an evening outside of beautiful music.

Next Wednesday, August 19, the Symphony will have the second in the Soiree on the Edge series, from 7-9pm at Arbor Crest.

CdA Casino's Farm to Fork Market this Sunday August 16

Coeur d'Alene Casino presents their first-ever Farm to Fork event this Sunday, August 16 featuring a farmers' market beginning at 10am, followed by a cooking demonstration from celebrity chef Hugh Acheson at 3pm. Roller Derby at the Convention Center this Weekend

Spokarnage: A Killer Roller Derby Tournament is this Friday through Sunday, August 14-16 at the Spokane Convention Center. Two tracks will be set up, kicking off with half hour bouts Friday. Manito Park's Free Summer Concert Series ends this Friday

Don't miss the last free summer concert of the season, this Friday, August 14 at the Manito Park Bench Cafe. Concert runs from 6-8pm with a performance from Just Plain Darin. Great food and beverages available for purchase at the cafe, including wraps, sandwiches, salads, ice cream, fresh lemonade and more. Beer from No-Li Brewhouse is available for purchase during concert hours. Regular hours for the Park Bench Cafe, 8am to 7pm daily through the summer season.

50th Anniversary of The Beatles film Help! at the Bing Aug 20

Hard to believe 'Help!,' The Beatles second feature film premiered 50 years ago! Don't miss a special showing of this classic film with the Fab Four next Thursday, August 20, 6:30pm at The Bing Crosby Theater. This film is presented by Spokane Public Radio and Friends of the Bing.

Arbor Crest Wine Cellars has great music lined up for the week, including the Spokane Symphony's Soiree on the Edge, tonight, August 12. This Thursday, August 13 from 5:30-7:30pm, Nicole Lewis & Friends will perform their rhythm & blues as part of Arbor Crest's 'Performers on the Patio' free Thursday concerts. Pottery by artist Autumn Bunton will be on display.

Benefit this Thursday for Inland NW SIDS Foundation

This year's Night Under the Stars, will be tomorrow, Thursday, August 13. The event will benefit the Inland Northwest SIDS Foundation, and runs from 5-8pm at the Elk Point Estates. Featured artists will be Ron Greene and Big Honey. Drinks and appetizers are available throughout the evening.

The Mad Hatter Vintage Flea Market coming end of September

This year's Mad Hatter Vintage Flea Market, featuring a select group of vendors with fabulous antiques and vintage treasures is coming Sept 25-26. There will be two fun days of shopping at the 5-Mile Prairie Grange, and guests can enjoy tea and treats.
