Dutch Bros. Fundraiser for KZZU's Ken Hopkins



Kevin & Kerry Parker's Dutch Bros. coffee shops held a fundraiser last week for radio personality Ken Hopkins of the Dave, Ken and Molly show on KZZU, who was seriously injured in a bicycle accident last month. The total raised was $29,148.

Tomorrow night, August 6 'Performers on the Patio' will feature the country music of Ryan Larsen & Chris Blair at Arbor Crest Wine Cellars Tasting Room patio. Concert runs from 5:30-7:30pm, no cover charge. Jewelry by Suzanne Alvarez will be on display through the evening.

Rebecca Hutchinson at the Kolva-Sullivan Gallery



This Friday, August 7 from 5 to 8 pm, the Kolva-Sullivan Gallery at 115 South Adams Street, Suite A, is hosting a reception for the August show of featured artist Rebecca Hutchinson. 'Distending Bloom: Sculptural Works by Rebecca Hutchinson' features porcelain and mixed media (paper clay, fiber, and organic material). It opens Friday and runs through August 29.

Rebecca is one of thirteen women from across the globe invited to create work for the National Museum of Women in Washington D.C. in a show 'Organic Matters: Women to Watch 2015.' A Montanan during the summer, Rebecca is a Professor of Ceramics at UMass Dartmouth, and has exhibited extensively in the United States, Asia, and Europe. Her sculptural work stretches the bounds of ceramics as it relates to nature and material.

Spokane Symphony's Soiree on the Edge coming August 12 and 19

This year's 'Soiree on the Edge,' a two concert series with the Spokane Symphony, returns to Arbor Crest Wine Cellars Wednesday, August 12 and Wednesday, August 19. BBQ Class featuring Baby Back Ribs, Sweet & Spicy BBQ Sauce and Jamaican Jerk Slaw, this Sunday, August 9 at 2 pm with Chef Mark Steinmetz.
