The Festival at Sandpoint begins August 6 with Arlo Guthrie

Saranac Art Project Opens July 24
The Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture is presenting the Saranac Art Projects' first MAC exhibit, opening this Friday, July 24 and runs until September 20.
Sixteen local contemporary artists will display their work, and many of the pieces will be for sale. Saranac Art Projects is a non-profit artist cooperative designed to support and educate artists and their communities while inspiring a vibrant contemporary art culture in the Inland Northwest.
"One of the MAC's goals is to help introduce local artists to new and more diverse audiences, so we're delighted to host works by the Saranac Art Projects' artists at the museum," said MAC Executive Director Forrest Rodgers.
"Having a show at the MAC allows the Saranac artists to reach a broader audience. We think it's great that the MAC is revitalizing what it's about, and reaching out to artists in the community for an exhibit like this. We're thrilled to be a part of it," said Jeff Huston, acting president of the Saranac Art Projects.

Ana Popovic performs at the Bing July 29
Blues Artist Ana Popovic with special guest Ron Holloway will perform at the Bing Crosby Theater on Wednesday, July 29, beginning at 7:30 pm. Ana received a nomination for Best Contemporary Female Blues Artist for 2014. Due to her fans demand - Blue Sky Productions NW is bringing Ana and her Mo' Love Band back to the Bing on 2015 US Tour and to kick off Blue Sky's Rock n' Blues Series which will bring legendary blues artist Taj Mahal in July as well.
Popovic is an award-winning guitarist who blends smoking electric funk and slide guitar, jazzy instrumentals and a tight blues with soulful, feminine vocals. Her album 'Can You Stand The Heat' was a 'Pick Of The Week' by USA Today and was featured on NPR Music.

The Best of Pat McManus Comes to Post Falls Library
Tim Behrens, (in)famous for his portrayal of Patrick McManus' humorous stories about the outdoors, is coming to the Community Library Network at Post Falls for a free one-night-only special performance tonight, July 22. The show starts at 7pm. The library will close at 6pm and reopen at 6:30pm. No reservations will be taken, so come early for the best seating and refreshments.
'The Best of McManus,' sponsored by the Post Falls Library Foundation and the Friends of the Post Falls Library, is a one-man shows written by nationally celebrated humor writer Patrick F. McManus and starring Tim Behrens.
The show is free, however, Library Foundation welcomes any financial donations at the door. Donations will go toward Foundation projects, including the publication of a book celebrating the Post Falls Library.

Keb' Mo' at the Bing July 30
Three-time Grammy winner and visionary roots-music storyteller Keb' Mo' will perform at the Bing on Thursday, July 30 at 7:30pm. Keb' recently released his 12th full length album, 'BLUESAmericana', marking his 20th anniversary of his debut.
His first album under that name, 'Keb' Mo', earned gold-record status. The second Keb' Mo' album, 'Just Like You,' won the Grammy Award for Contemporary Blues Album, which he also repeated with 1999's 'Slow Down' and 2005's 'Keep It Simple.' Keb's songs have been recorded by B.B. King, Buddy Guy, the Dixie Chicks, Joe Cocker and Robert Palmer. Keb' also performs the theme song for the new sit-com 'Mike & Molly' and was music composer for TV's 'Memphis Beat.'

Spokane Public Radio Presents Paula Poundstone
Tickets are on sale now for an evening of Paula Poundstone's comedy on Thursday, October 15 at 7:30 pm at the Bing Crosby Theater. Poundstone is probably best known as a frequent panelist on NPR's hit current events quiz show, 'Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me.'
Poundstone was the first woman to receive a Cable ACE Award for a comedy special for her one-hour HBO show, 'Cats, Cops, and Stuff' and the first woman invited to entertain at the prestigious White House Correspondents' Dinner. She received a second Cable ACE Award for her self-titled HBO talk show series plus an Emmy for her field pieces on the PBS program 'Life & Times.'
