This annual fundraiser is crucial to the work at River's Wish Animal Sanctuary. Caring for over 100 animals requires immense amounts of time and money. River's Wish is largely supported by private donations, as well as the money raised by the auction.

There will be a no-host bar featuring Washington wines and beer from Iron Goat Brewery.

The silent auction, including original art, sculpture and craft pieces, limited edition prints, and enticing gift baskets, runs from 6 to 8 pm and the Live Auction begins at 8 pm. For those wanting to make a night of it, there will be an outdoor showing of the movie 'Babe' after the live auction.

Tickets for the Dinner & Auction are $20 for Adults, $10 for children 12 and under. You can buy tickets online at RiversWish.org (online ticket purchases will add a small service fee); a limited number will be available at the gate.

'The Best of Pat McManus' Comes to Post Falls Library

Tim Behrens, (in)famous for his portrayal of Patrick McManus' humorous stories about the outdoors, is coming to the Community Library Network at Post Falls for a free one-night-only special performance on Wednesday, July 22. The show starts at 7 pm. The library will close at 6 pm and reopen at 6:30 pm. No reservations will be taken, so come early for the best seating and refreshments.

'The Best of McManus,' sponsored by the Post Falls Library Foundation and the Friends of the Post Falls Library, has won rave reviews the world over. Nikki Luttmann, foundation president, said, "As the kick-off for the library's Centennial, Behrens will set the right tone, with a night of laughter suitable for all ages; from one to one-hundred-and-one." The family-friendly show is the fourth Frank Henderson Speaker's series presentation.

The full length one-man shows written by nationally celebrated humor writer Patrick F. McManus and starring his indentured actor, Tim Behrens, have toured 21 states and Canada, playing to more than 400,000 people over the past 22 years in 1600 performances. The 'Best of McManus' Show is a savory stew of stories taken from all five of the shows and assembled especially for this Post Falls performance by Pat and Tim.

Find out why your first date warps your personality forever. Learn the proper form of panicking from an expert. Discover what happens when you and a deer try to ride a bicycle not built for two. Actor Tim Behrens stars as a one-man cast of your favorite McManus characters, from Rancid Crabtree to Melba Peachbottom, from a dog named Strange to daft old Mrs. Swisher.

Though the show is free, the Library Foundation welcomes any and all financial donations at the door. Donations will go toward Foundation projects, including the publication of a book celebrating the Post Falls Library. For more information, visit CommunityLibrary.Net/PFFoundation or call the library, 208-772-1506 x 2.
