Inlander Restaurant Week Feb 20-March 1



Restaurants from Spokane to Coeur d'Alene, Spokane Valley to Airway Heights make up the record number of 97 participants in Inlander Restaurant Week 2015.

Inlander Restaurant Week, February 20 - March 1, features set-price, three-course menu offerings. Participating restaurants offer their special menus at either an $18 or $28 price level. Diners are welcome to choose the special Restaurant Week menu offerings or anything from a restaurant's regular menu.

In addition to the 97 participating restaurants, at least 12 Drink Local participants will be taking part in Restaurant Week. Drink Local focuses on featuring Spokane-region wines, craft beers, spirits and hard ciders with many of the restaurant menus.

Spokane Symphony and Terrain: Uncharted Territory

Terrain and the Spokane Symphony announced today that they will join forces to present 'Spokane Symphony + Terrain: Uncharted Territory,' an innovative and original performance featuring several local artists, including musical collaborations between Symphony musicians and band members of the Flying Spiders, Water Monster, and Hannah Reader. Staged musical vignettes will also include live theatrical and dance performances, culminating into a unique take on Handel's Water Music that could turn the classical and pop worlds on their ears.

The one-night only fundraiser for Terrain and the Symphony will take place on Friday, March 13 at Terrain's future permanent space, the old Washington Cracker Company building at 304 W. Pacific. Tickets are $32 for general admission (standing room) and $75 for a limited number of seats. All profits from the event will go to support the Spokane Symphony and Terrain. Variety Pak Dance Band upcoming performances at the Southside Senior & Community Center

Variety Pak, a longtime, local dance band, will headline several upcoming dances on the first Thursday and the 3rd Friday of each month now through June. The Southside Senior Center houses one of the best floating dance floors in Spokane. Variety Pak, plays music from the 20s through the 80s, all great, danceable tunes from Swing to Jitterbug, and lots in between. The Pak members are Leslie Ann Grove and Keith LaMotte alternating trumpets, flugelhorns and vocals, Kyle Pugh on bass, and Marv Richter on drums. Variety Pak will feature a fifth guest artist at every concert, on guitar or keyboards.

Performance dates are Thursday, March 5, April 2, June 4 and Friday, February 20, March 20, April 17, May 15 and June 19. Shows run from 7-10pm. Southside Senior and Community Center is located at 3151 East 27th Avenue on Spokane's south hill. Admission is $6 for students, $8 for members, and $10 for nonmembers. Free KPBX Kids' Concert March 7

Dance off the winter blues with the amazing Irish music and songs of James Hunter, Don Thomsen, and Rick Rubin on Saturday, March 7 at the next KPBX Kids' Concert and dance party. Floating Crowbar's high-energy performance will keep all ages moving. Join Spokane Public Radio at the former Masonic Center, Riverside Place, on 1108 W Riverside at 1 pm. Kids' Concerts are free and designed for kids of all ages.

Floating Crowbar focuses on traditional and contemporary Irish music played with uilleann pipes, flute, banjo, mandolin and guitar. These musicians come from a variety of backgrounds and musical interests to bring a unique perspective to their music. Their passion for music blends with fun, mutual respect and friendship for a show to be enjoyed by Celtic music fans of all ages.

A Night of Glam 17th Annual Red Ribbon Gala



Celebrate Hollywood's biggest night at the Spokane AIDS Network (SAN) '17th Annual Red Ribbon Gala', formerly the SAN Oscar Night Gala, a black tie (suggested) evening featuring a live Academy Awards telecast and auctions at the Northern Quest Resort & Casino on Sunday, February 22.
