'The Book of Mormon' now at the INB



The New York Times calls 'The Book of Mormon', "the best musical of this century!" Entertainment Weekly says it is "the funniest musical of all time." And you can see it now through Sunday at the INB performing Arts Center. This musical from the creators of 'South Park' is a nine-time Tony Award Winning Best Musical.

While the Mormon Church doesn't oppose the production, they have issued this statement: "The production may attempt to entertain audiences for an evening, but the Book of Mormon as a volume of scripture will change people's lives forever by bringing them closer to Christ."

Tonight is going to be an 'odd' night in Coeur d'Alene

Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre presents 'The Odd Couple', a $25 Staged Reading Fundraiser tonight at 7:30 pm at the Kroc Center Auditorium, 1760 West Golf Course Road.

Brewsfest returns to Silver Mountain Resort this Saturday

Silver Mountain's annual Brewsfest is scheduled for this Saturday, August 16 from 1-6 pm at the Silver Mountain amphitheater. Three great bands and over 35 different hand crafted beers will be available at this annual mountain top celebration.

The music will start at 1:30 with Gatorloops kicking off a great day of music with his blues and innovative music loops. Nu Jack City is back by popular demand as this versatile band plays a bit from all generations and features a lively horn section. Past crowd favorite, Civilized Animal, promises to rock the crowd to close out the festival. Gatorloops will also be playing in the village after the event.

They are currently are expecting about 18 different breweries and they will be providing 36 different types of beer for people to taste.

Tickets for the event include a commerative Brewsfest mug, six taste tickets and the scenic gondola ride to the top of the mountain. Additional taste tickets may be purchased at the event. Advance tickets are $29.95 and day of event tickets are $34.95. Advance tickets can be purchased online or by calling 208-783-1111. Gates open at 1pm but you can make a day of it by hiking or exploring the expanded Silver Mountain Bike Park. Lodging packages are also available.

The 10th Anniversary Cobra Polo Classic Benefitting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Spokane is Sunday, September 7. This is the largest charity polo match in the United States, and all proceeds benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Spokane.

Garland Street Fair this Saturday

The 12th Annual Garland Street Fair covering five blocks of the Garland Business District, from Howard Street to Monroe is this Saturday from 10 am to 9 pm. They will have an variety of musicians, food vendors, arts activities and involvement from the Garland businesses. The event features family-friendly vendors and activities from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and will continue until 9:00 pm at a Block Party between Post and Monroe, featuring live entertainment and a Runway Renegades Fashion Show.

Season Preview Night at Lake City Playhouse
