Last look at 'Look Back' at the Trackside




Trackside Studio, at 115 S. Adams, continues the exhibit 'Look Back' featuring the ceramic works of local art professors Mardis Nenno, Spokane Falls Community College, and Terry Gieber, Gonzaga University with closing receptions on Friday, May 2,, 5 to 8:30pm and Saturday, May 3, noon to 4 pm.

Founded in 2006, the Trackside Studio Ceramic Art Gallery, is both a working ceramic studio and an elegant sales gallery featuring monthly ceramic exhibits. The website is tracksidestudio.net.

2nd Annual Chocolate de Mayo Celebration

Link Up with Students and the Spokane Symphony

This Thursday, May 1 from 7-8pm at the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox, the Spokane Symphony presents Link Up performances with approximately 900 area students in grades three through five. Link Up is a program of the Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall which connects classrooms with the symphony as they perform together in concert. In the program titled, 'The Orchestra Moves,' teachers and students use workbooks provided by Carnegie Hall, as they delve into elements of music and learn to play recorder and sing songs they will perform with the orchestra. The fully scripted concert will feature Eckart Preu, conductor, Dave Weatherred, Master of Ceremonies, with guest singers and a surprise finish. Families are encouraged to attend the evening performance to witness this amazing opportunity for our students.

Spring Tasting at the Lincoln Center Today!




For all brides to be! The Lincoln Center's Semi Annual Tasting Event is Today, April 30 from 5 to 8pm. Grooms, wedding party, parents, along with family and friends are invited to take a peek at what the Lincoln Center has to offer. Mother's Day Browne's Addition tour




Say, 'Thanks Mom!' with a home tour in Spokane's historic Browne's Addition neighborhood on May 10-11 from noon to 4 pm. at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture's 25th annual Mother's Day tour feature six splendid examples of late 19th century architecture.

The tour includes Campbell House (1898) at 2316 West First Avenue; Reid House (1899) at 2315 West First Avenue, Page-Ufford House (1896) at 364 South Coeur d'Alene Street; Westgate Apartments (1908) at 2306 W. Pacific Avenue, Patsy Clark Mansion (1898) at 2208 West Second Avenue, and Loewenberg-Roberts House (1889) at 1923 West First Avenue. Other points of interest include a Chinese cemetery and Coeur d'Alene Park.

Tickets are available at the MAC located at 2316 W. First Avenue, Wednesday-Sunday, 10am to 5pm, as well as at the museum and 364 S. Coeur d'Alene St. during the tour. Cost is $20 per person or $15 for MAC members.

The stars have aligned for one of the most awe-inspiring arena tours ever staged.
