Don't miss the Spokane Symphony this weekend with famed Violinist Sayaka Shoji of Japan

At this Saturday and Sunday's concerts, the Spokane Symphony will have special guest, world renowned and critically acclaimed violinist Sayaka Shoji. She gives a rare performance in only two cities in North America-Spokane and Washington, D.C. and will perform her amazing rendition of Prokofiev's Violin concerto No. 2 with the Spokane Symphony and Resident Conductor Morihiko Nakahara.

Named one of Japan's '100 most influential people' by Nikkei Business, Shoji is a household name in her home country. Shoji has been impressing audiences for over 20 years and at the young age of 31, she continues to win international awards and honors and has performed with some of the world's leading conductors including Vladimir Ashkenazy, Sir Colin Davis, and Zubin Mehta.

After her performances in Spokane and Wash. D.C., she will continue on her world tour through Japan and Europe. You can read more information about this gifted violinist at www.sayakashoji.com.

The Symphony will also perform Shaker Loops by John Adams and Mozart's Symphony No. 39.
