Let's Get Our Hands Dirty tonight!

The Sullivan & Kolva Sullivan Gallery at 115 South Adams presents 'Let's Get Our Hands Dirty' a series of workshops that are free and open to students and adults working with clay and patrons who want to enhance their appreciation for ceramics. Tonight's presentation from 7 to 9 pm (doors open at 6:45): A gallery walk discussion surrounding the ceramic processes used to create the works on display in the Northwest Ceramics Invitational. Presented by Trackside Studio Artists: Gina Freuen, Chris Kelsey and Mark Moore.

Take advantage of this mid month opportunity to see the displayed works and learn how they were created! If you have purchased a piece this might be a great opportunity to pick it up, or, maybe there was a piece you couldn't get your mind off of that you might like to purchase and take home. Little Women at Lake City Playhouse continues




Audiences and media are loving 'Little Women' playing now through Feb. 1 at the Lake City Playhouse in Coeur d'Alene. Tickets still available for all shows. It's directed by George Green with musical direction by Zachariah Baker. Sandra Hosking of The Spokesman Review says, "Little Women portrays a family's love, delight and tragedy, all with equal heart and care."

SpIFF Starts January 23




The 2014 16th annual Spokane International Film Festival will be held Thursday, January 23 through Saturday, February 1 at the Magic Lantern Theatre, The Bing Crosby Theater, and AMC River Park Square 20, along with a special engagement at the Garland Theater in the Garland District.

There will be an opening reception on Thursday, January 23 at River Park Square. Join fellow film aficionados, local filmmakers, and guest filmmakers at the Kress Gallery. There will be food, drink and music. Admission requires a 2014 ticket stub or Festival Pass The SpIFF 2013 Opening Party will be at Simply Dance Studio at 820 West Sprague, on Friday, January 24 starting at 8pm. Valentine's Day at the Lincoln Center

It's never too early to plan for Valentine's Day and this year the Connoisseur's Club at The Lincoln Center, presents a special wine tasting dinner on Valentine's Day, featuring Three Rivers winery from Walla Walla, pairing wines with a 5-course dinner created by Executive Chef Steve Jensen.

Spokane Symphony Classics Series Celebrates Music of the Americas




Classical music from the New World features Leonard Bernstein's perennial favorite, Symphonic Dances from West Side Story. Other selections include works by Copeland, Chavez, Mackey and Chapela. Eckart Preu conducts and Spokane Symphony's own Ross Holcombe, principal trmbonist, plays Mackey's Harvest: Trombone Concerto.

Taste Spokane coming March 14 benefiting Wishing Star Foundation

Wishing Star is hosting its 8th Annual Taste Spokane on Friday, March 14 from 6 to 10pm at Northern Quest Resort & Casino, in the Pend O'Reille Room. The evening will be filled with live music, great food and adult beverages. Featured at the event are tastes from many of Spokane's top restaurants, regional wineries and breweries, chocolatiers and more. Last year, over $25,000 was raised to grant wishes and change lives.

General admission is $35 and includes 5 taste tokens and wine glass. New this year, VIP tickets are available, which includes early admittance, unlimited taste tokens, reserved VIP seating and a limited edition wine glass. Only 50 VIP tickets are available and cost is $100.
