Shown above are Spokane winery pioneers, the Conway family, Ellena, Mike and daughter Natalie Conway Barnes of Latah Creek Winery.

Established in 1982 and one of the Pacific Northwest's oldest wineries, Latah Creek Wine Cellars is one of only a few family-owned and operated wineries in the state. Latah Creek produces several different wines, with 60% of their production directed towards their most popular wines: Riesling, Pinot Gris and Huckleberry d'Latah. Latah Creek is also known for their red wines, and was recognized by "Wine Spectator Magazine" as one of the top producers of Merlot in the State of Washington. In addition, Latah Creek has had three of their red wines in the "Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines of the Year."

During Holiday Wine Fest weekend, Latah Creek will introduce their new 2011 Malbec to further enhance their wine portfolio. The new red wine is characterized by rich plum, blackberry, and toasty oak flavors, with aromas of luscious plum, red cherries, and spun sugar. To celebrate its release, Latah Creek will be offering a 50% discount on a bottle of their new 2011 Malbec with a $25 purchase on Sunday, November 23rd.

Latah Creek will also be launching a new cookbook, the third in a series featuring recipes by Ellena Conway. The cookbook will be available for sale at the winery starting November 22.

Latah Creek is open seven days a week, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and provides a unique tasting experience.
