Sirens, a 'tropical mid-life crisis' at Interplayers

Interplayers Professional Theatre presents 'Sirens,' a tropical mid-life crisis, April 4 through 20. Triply talented composer, performer and director Christian Duhamel comes from New York City to guide an expert cast of four. As hapless Sam, Artistic Director for Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre, Roger Welch, returns to Interplayers for the first time since 2010. Sam's hilariously puzzled spouse, Rose, is played by Resident Artist Tamara Schupman ('It's a Wonderful Life'), and famed local opera soprano Dawn Wolski makes her comedy debut as the diva-like Siren and two other roles. Nicholas Witham rounds out the cast as a former rival for Rose's affections. Last seen as a 16-year-old in this season's 'Speech and Debate,' Witham now plays a man in his fifties, who inexplicably still looks astoundingly young.

'Sirens' opens April 4th and plays through April 20th. Performances are at 7:30 Wednesdays through Saturdays, with 2pm matinees on Sundays (April 7th and 14th), and Saturdays (April 13th and 20th). Talkbacks with the cast will occur each Thursday and Saturday.
