MAC to be Open on Sundays

The Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture (MAC) will open its doors on Sundays beginning Super Bowl Sunday, February 3. "Sunday is a family day and often the only day of the week for families to share an experience in our galleries and Campbell House," says Executive Director Forrest Rodgers. "We're in the process of developing additional and new programs for MAC weekends," he continued, noting that being open on Sundays is part of an overall effort to increase access and re-invigorate the museum experience.

Special weekend programming will soon be in place for visitors of all ages, especially families, and many will be offered in collaboration with other community organizations. The MAC's galleries will be open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, with exhibits highlighting Inland Northwest history, Plateau tribal cultures, and regional and contemporary art. Sunday tours of historic Campbell House will be offered at noon, 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00 pm.

Organizations and/or individuals interested in developing collaborative programs are encouraged to contact the MAC at themac@northwestmuseum.org.

The MAC is at 2316 West First in Historic Browne's Addition. It is open Wed - Sunday. 10am - 5pm. The price is Adults $7, Students/Seniors (60+) $5, Kids 5 and under and MAC Members no charge. The website is www.northwestmuseum.org.
