McManus comedy show to be filmed at the Bing Crosby Theatre tomorrow night



'Scrambled McManus', the One-Man Show written by Patrick F. McManus, starring Tim Behrens is coming to the Bing Crosby Theatre tomorrow night, Thursday, October 4 at 7:30pm. Other upcoming McManus Comedies are Nov. 15, 'Pot Luck' and Dec. 6, 'Poor Again...Dagnabbit!'. The shows will be filmed in front of live audiences at the Bing Crosby Theatre. The DVDs should be on sale in time for Christmas. If you attend either of these shows, you might very well be in the DVDs, because one camera will focus on the audience and the laughter that always accompanies a McManus show!

A new show, 'Pat McManus and Me: the First 20 Years!', written by Pat McManus and Tim Behrens, and starring Tim Behrens will have a performance at the Panida Theatre in Sandpoint, ID at 300 North First Ave, on Saturday, October 6 at 8pm. Restoration of the Bing Crosby Theater continues




The Bing Crosby Theater announces one more step in the continued restoration of the historic building at Sprague and Lincoln. For the first time in 25 years they are cleaning, treating and sealing of all of the original cladding of the exterior of the theater. The exterior of the building will be washed, polished and preened. This is one of many projects the Bing is undertaking to revitalize and restore the theater as a world class performing arts center in downtown Spokane. Fall Fest at Silver Mountain continues this weekend

Silver Mountain Resort is continuing Fall Fest this weekend as they celebrate the end of summer with a variety of fun activities. There will be kids and adult activities, events, live music, a vendor fair with handmade goods and retail merchandise. The gondola will run both weekends for great views of the fabulous fall colors in the Silver Valley for both bikers and scenic riders.

An uphill bike race is slated for Saturday, October 6. The 12.6 mile race will start at the Village and finish at the Mountain House after a grueling 3400 foot climb. The race is a fundraiser for the Silver Mountain Alpine Race team. On Sunday, October 7 Silver Mountain will host a unique event at the Galena Ridge Golf Course, Speedgolf. Speedgolf is a combination of your golf score combined with your time to run the course while you are playing. The course record is 77 (42 golf score and 35 minute run time) in a nine hole tournament. This tournament is a fundraiser for the Kellogg class of 2015.

Beyond Pink - 3rd annual Designer Bra Fashion Show

The Beyond Pink designer bra fashion show and fundraiser will be held at the Masonic Center in downtown Spokane this Friday, October 5 from 5-9 pm. There will be vendors, a silent auction, appetizers, and a no host bar. The fun starts at 5pm, fashion show and live auction start at 7pm. KXLY's Mark Peterson and Kristi Gorenson will emcee the event. 100% of Net proceeds benefit women who could not otherwise afford Thermography. Bra's are designed by local designers and donated for the live auction.

Custer's Antique & Collectors Sale this weekend

The 37th Annual Custer's Fall Antique & Collectors Sale will be held at the Spokane County Fair & Expo Center this Friday, October 5 through Sunday, October 7. Over 200 dealers from across the country with thousands of vintage treasures.

Also returning this year, the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture's (MAC) Appraisal Days on Saturday and Sunday. Bring your family treasures to find out what they're worth. Cost of admission plus $7 per item.

INBTA/NW North Pole Adventures Fantasy Flight

The Inland NW Business Travel Association is holding their annual Harvest Moon Auction and HalloWine Tasting event on Friday, October 12 from 5:30 to 9:30pm at the Red Lion Hotel at the Park. A portion of the proceeds from this auction will benefit Northwest North Pole Adventures Spokane Fantasy Flight. Spokane Fantasy Flight provides a magical trip to the North Pole for some very special children from area shelters and community programs. They are flown to the North Pole for a magical evening.
