Interplayers presents Jalopies August 24 and 25

America is history's largest consumer nation, built on the philosophy that newer is always better and the latest model car is more valuable than an old jalopy. Mark Cherniak's one-man show at Interplayers Theatre wants to put that theory to the test on Friday August 24 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday August 25 at 2 p.m. in the one act play, Jalopies.

The play was a semi-finalist at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center 2011 National Playwrights Conference.

Interplayers Theatre Bistro will stay open an hour after each performance for patrons who want to discuss the play and its social implications, especially audience members of the baby boomer population who are now struggling with issues surrounding the aging of their parents. Italian ices have been added to the menu to make the hot August nights more pleasurable. The Bistro is also open before each performance.

Tickets for this special presentation will be $15 and are available at the box office, or by calling the theatre at 509-455-7529. Tickets are also available through Ticketswest at 800-325-7328 or www.ticketswest.com. Interplayers is located at 174 S. Howard Street in downtown Spokane.
